Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic therapy from Sheridan College and further advanced her expertise with a certificate in Manual Osteopathy. Most recently, she served as the medical trainer for Team Ontario Red, contributing to their championship victory at the Women’s Hockey U18 Nationals.

Lyle co-owns Guelph Performance with his wife Alana where they bring their family values and commitment to helping others. Lyles’s role in the clinic is both in Training and Coaching and also in ensuring that the clinic and gym run smoothly and dreaming up new ways to help clients.

Before joining Guelph Performance, Lyle attended the University of Guelph, achieving both a Bachelor and a Master of Science, focusing on Animal Nutrition, and, as we know, humans are animals! He brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients. Lyle went on to complete his Precision Nutrition and Personal Training courses.

– Katie is a dedicated physiotherapist, with advanced training in her areas of focus. She is trauma-informed, leans heavily into the BioPsychoSocial model of care, and is never shy to refer to others when needed.

Katie operates her own practice, treating people in their homes who are unable to make it into a clinic for whatever reason, and also treats at Guelph Performance as needed. She collaborates with the team to ensure that clients are able to receive their pelvic floor treatment in the same clinic as their other care!

– Alana started Guelph Performance in 2015, working as a solo-practitioner within a gym facility. She chose to open her own practice so she could build a clinic that matched her unique philosophy of patient care. Over the last 9 years, she has grown Guelph Performance to be an ecosystem where she can foster a client-centred goal-oriented ecosystem, using not only her own skills but those of her incredible staff to help people perform better whether that be in sports, play, work, or just life in general!

Alana attended the University of Western Ontario, where she was a member of the Varsity Rowing team, and earned her Bachelor of Medical science. During her time there, she sustained an injury and was treated by the Athletic Therapists there, sparking her to continue her education at Sheridan, earning a BAHSc in Athletic Therapy, followed by a Diploma in Massage Therapy at OCHT.

Emily is a former varsity rugby athlete and understands the importance of reducing injury risk, maintaining strength, and returning to sport/activity. She has experience learning from top strength and conditioning coaches and is proficient in implementing exercise and rehabilitation programs.

Emily attended York University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a certificate in Athletic Therapy. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at CMCC. Her experience before Guelph Performance included both public practice and varsity clinical and team support.
